Legal Proceedings Against Measureroad ApS
Greenwood Engineering A/S has filed cases against Measureroad ApS for intellectual property infringement, trade secret misuse, and misleading marketing. The dispute began in March 2023 with a search order to secure evidence, followed by an infringement lawsuit in December 2023.

Search Order Proceedings

The Eastern High Court has overturned the Sheriff’s Court’s decision allowing additional searches of the software files secured under the earlier court order. The High Court found that further and broader searches are unlikely to produce significant additional evidence beyond what was obtained by Greenwood in the initial search, and that the related costs would be disproportionate to the potential evidential value. The High Court’s decision should be viewed in light of the specific procedural rules governing searches of files secured by court order (Danish: bevissikring).
This decision does not affect Greenwood’s overall position in the dispute with Measureroad. Greenwood will consider the next procedural steps to seek disclosure of the relevant evidence of infringement in the pending proceedings before the Maritime and Commercial High Court.

Greenwood has added former employees Kåre Sloth Jensen and Lasse Høi to the court case, directing the claim for injunction and payment of damages against them personally as well, based on evidence from the seizure and the valuation report.
Oral hearing scheduled for 8–10 March 2027.

5. DECEMBER 2023
Greenwood Engineering A/S has filed a lawsuit against MeasureRoad ApS on 1 December 2023 with the Danish Maritime and Commercial Court.
The lawsuit follows a decision made by the court of Frederiksberg on November 10th 2023, allowing an IT-specialist to prepare a report, based on evidence secured with Measureroad ApS in March 2023. Findings from the report, once finalised, may be included in the lawsuit.
25. AUGUST 2025
Important high court decisions in the pending legal conflict with Measureroad ApS.
Following another appeal decision in the High Court on the securing of evidence requested by Greenwood Engineering, the High Court has in a ruling dated 27 June 2025 confirmed that the securing of evidence was just and that certain documents shall now be handed over to Greenwood as decided by the Sheriff’s court 12 May 2025. According to a separate decision by the High Court, made on 13 August 2025, Measureroad’s application for grant of an extraordinary appeal to the Supreme Court should not suspend the handing over of secured evidence. Measureroad was further ordered pay costs to Greenwood.
16. FEBRUAR 2026
I shall hereby provide you with a short status of the legal disputes with the former employees of Greenwood Engineering A/S, Kåre Sloth Jensen and Lasse Høi in connection to the launch of a deflectometer by the company Measureroad ApS, owned and controlled by them, shortly after their resignation from Greenwood Engineering A/S:
The court case with a claim for injunction and for payment of damages is pending in the Maritime and Commercial Court.
Recently we received a valuation report prepared by an independent expert within physics appointed by the court, professor at the University of Aarhus Michael Drewsen. He found it highly unlikely that the Measureroad deflectometer was developed without usage of confidential knowledge and trade secrets belonging to Greenwood Engineering A/S.
The oral hearing has been scheduled to take place on 8-10 March 2027.
The case resting with the Sheriff’s court on seizure of evidence, is currently pending the judge’s decision on Greenwood Engineering’s request for further searches for copyright infringements in the seized evidence, after Greenwood’s receipt of a first portion of documents from the seizure, showing significant storing and use by Measureroad of documents belonging to Greenwood Engineering.
Based on the evidence already handed out from the seizure and on the valuation report, we have now added the two former employees Kåre Sloth Jensen and Lasse Høi to the court case and have directed the claim for injunction and payment of damages against them personally also, as we consider them to be personally liable in the matter.
