Greenwood Engineering offers several services for our MiniProf customers. This includes help with the maintenance and servicing of the measuring equipment, free updates to the core software, training courses etc.

Suggested service check and recalibration
MiniProf is a very stable instrument. However, during use, wear in the instrument causes small errors to build up in the different components. When a MiniProf instrument is calibrated at Greenwood Engineering, all these small deviations are taken into account, to provide the optimum calibration of the instrument. The calibration is documented using traceable reference profiles.
A "third party calibration" will not be able to adjust for the small deviations that accumulates during use. In the best case, a "third party calibration" provides documentation of how serious the errors have grown. Regular Greenwood Engineering approved calibration is the only way to keep your MiniProf in shape and safe to use.
It is our recommendation that the MiniProf instrument is sent to us once a year for service check and recalibration. This of course relies a lot on how the instrument is handled and how often it is used. If the instrument is used a lot, then a yearly calibration is recommendable.
We strongly recommend that you do not try to repair or dismantle the MiniProf equipment without prior recommendations from Greenwood Engineering. Failure to do so may result in loss of accuracy and could cause serious/permanent damage to the instrument.
The instrument must be sent in the original transport case in order to avoid bumps and damages. If the instrument isn't returned in the original transport case we can not guarantee correct calibration upon return. The service check and recalibration normally take 1-2 weeks.
Customers outside Europe have to specify on the proforma invoice/commercial invoice that the equipment is returned to manufacturer for service and repair to avoid import problems.

As an option, we also offer our MiniProf customers a service agreement. The service agreement includes service check and recalibration one time per year. Spare parts are not included. Please contact Greenwood Engineering for further information.
Updates to the MiniProf for Windows core software are free of charge for MiniProf customers. When an update is released it is made available for download from our website. A license key is required in order to install the downloaded update. This can be obtained from Greenwood Engineering.
The software updates are also available on CD-ROM with a printed manuals for an additional charge and can be purchased by contacting Greenwood Engineering.
We also develop new calculations and alignment routines for the MiniProf software on request. The price for new calculations depends on the time required for the implementation.
